Hello, My Friends!~~~
Today, Hubby and I visited the DC Big Flea in Chantilly, VA. Hubby wanted to go because one of his favorite barbeque places is right next door. After braving super chilly temps before getting in, we starting combing the aisles for any deals. Unfortunately, I have learned that many many of the vendors have things that really don't interest me and those that do have nifty wares have not-so-nifty high prices. But we searched and searched and did find a few bargain priced gems which I plan on using in future projects.
I brought home a fun vintage quilt piece with giant blue feedsack daisy flower blanket stitched in red. It will be a future Christmas tree skirt. I found three oh-so-cute children's hankies with animals for future diaper/tote bags. The big deal of the day was two strands of larger red mercury glass beads for a dollar each! The gentleman selling them was trying to get rid of his newer Christmas ornaments for a dollar each and I spied these vintage beaded garlands on the table. He sold them to me for the same price as the ornaments. What luck!
Even though I didn't find much I love what I found because these items have great crafting potential. Thanks for stopping by!~~~XXOO, Beth

I love the giant daisy quilt piece. It will be awesome as a tree skirt, Beth!
